Monsters 2_Dark Continent

This is a little fan piece, wanted to take a crack at making a poster for the upcoming film event, so here it is.

Lisa Hounsome Photography Mailer

This was a small job i recently completed for Lisa Hounsome Photography. Lisa needed a nice way to send photo CD's to clients, so we sourced natural board cd mailers and i designed a full wrap around label, this is the finished result.

Shaun in the City Concepts

As some may know, Aardman and The Wallace & Gromit Grand appeal had a call out to all artist for another sculpture trail in 2015 in London & Bristol. So after the success of 'Gromit Unleashed' i thought i would throw my hat in the ring for another chance to work on another gist claymation character for charity.

Sadly it was not to be, none of my designs or the designs of my colleagues made it through to be used. And so i will give you a look at my small contribution.

As we all know Aardman love puns, and so they were put to good use in my designs.

This was a salute to 2015 chinese year of the sheep, and i thought these would look awesome in miniature on display in the cribs causeway store, a whole terracotta army of Shaun's.

They were fun to design, a pity they didn't make the flock.

GEEK ART BOOK 2

I have been fortunate enough to be published in the second Geek Art Anthology. Thanks to Thomas over at geek-art.net who saw my 80's lego illustrations has put me in a book with so many (and i mean MANY) amazing pop culture artists. In many ways i feel like a pretender that got lucky, but still very fortunate to have been involved.

This is an amazing anthology of great art, i recommend to anyone reading this to buy it (Amazon).

Breaking Boundaries Theatre Conference Poster

This is a poster i recently designed for Theatre Bath, Its for a conference on the future of theatre funding and in inequality of the distribution of funding throughout the UK. I was bombarded with so much information for the stimulus for this publicity it made sense to make it an info graphic based poster.

FIRST SOLO SHOW

This was my first solo show ever, and it came about thanks to the kind folks over at Hero Complex Gallery (LA). As some of you may already know i posted up some lego illustrations back in december, off the back of that Adam from HCG dropped an email to see if  I would be interested in doing a solo show, obviously I said yes. So was born 'Lego Memories (or a man child's recollection of the 80's through lego), I illustrated 106 individual min figs but only 64 different 80 icons.

These are a selection of some of my favourites.

The Mighty Rancor: Streets of Beige Big Ass Monster Show

This is my piece for 'Streets of Beige Big Ass Monster Show' I went with the mighty Rancor from 'Return of the Jedi', this was the first actual movie monster i ever saw. I was blown away by it as a kid, so it made sense to use this for my submission.

Koi Deck

Just another bit of fun

New school / Old School Tattoo Deck

This was done for work as part of a group exhibit for our new office. I ended up drawing most of this while holding my new born (which explains some of the ropey angles). It is always fun being more hands on and not be so reliant on a computer.

Valar Morghulis

Yep Game of Thrones series four is upon us. I was asked by Bottleneck Gallery to make a piece for their 'Winter is Here' show. Due to a growing number of family members I missed the deadline, but i still finished it just to see how it would have turned out.
